Pre-Examination

As semester near it ends, have you done revising yet? Thank me for reminding you. I’m sure the students are starting to burn the midnight oil. Yes! Like it or not, students leave things to the last minute, including revision. But still, whatever feelings that might have come, we still have to take it.

First and foremost, what we actually need is an organise revision plan. Let me share one nice quote - "The most painful thing to experience is not defeat but regret"
-- Leo Bascaglia
."

It is never too late to start my friend, plan your revision now. Manage your time. Start organising your days to exam. Success is everybody’s dream, but let me ask you what is the key to success? Learning from failure, believe in what you do and hardwork just to mention a few.

Question yourself, how would you define success?

Here I share some simple exam tips that might help you :

1. Plan and set your goals

Never forget the basic drill! Ask yourself one solid reason to ace. A journey of a thousand miles started with only one step, as it is the first step of your career.

2. Revision

Warm up yourself with a slow reading, then make notes and color them up, that's the trick. Instead of dreaming, let us revise as much as possible.

3. Exam weeks

Crucial time? I know. Stress is a huge part of the university experience, have to let it get the best of us. I think in the stress of exam weeks, it is important to remember a little balance. Entertain yourself, take a break from that long periods of studying. Staying healthy at this phase is also important.

4. Exam day

Be positive and relax, train yourself that way. Read question properly, upon answering, concentrate of what you do know rather than what you don't know. If you are done, recheck you answer. One note about the exam before we bury it in our memories until results day: never go back to your textbooks after exam to check if you got the answers right. You will always end up disappointed, because you will always find that you answered more questions incorrectly than correctly.

5. Prayers and doa

Never under estimate the power of those two. It helps a lot. No doubt that ALLAH is always with us. Remember miracles do happen, but with considerable effort from us.

To accomplish great things, we must not only act, but also dream, not only plan but also believe.

Bittaufiq wannajah 'alaikum.
